The BMT Effect extends to classrooms, families, and communities, inspiring confidence and pride in students while fostering inclusive, resilient schools. Through mentorship, financial aid, and professional growth, BMT empowers Black male educators to create lasting, positive change that uplifts students and their families alike.
1. the families impacted
Parents and caregivers are their children’s first teachers, and often the first to see and feel the impact our fellows have on students. News and clues from home often give us a great preview of future success before, and oftentimes better than test results can. Listen to this feedback we have received from parents and caregivers.

Black Men Teach is dedicated to empowering the next generation by providing children with role models who reflect the diversity of their communities.
